The State Property Fund put up for auction a port in the Odesa region with a starting price of UAH 177.97 million

The State Property Fund of Ukraine has scheduled an auction for the privatization of the Bilhorod-Dniester sea trade port on September 6. Information about this appeared on platform Prozorro. Sales.
This auction will be the ninth attempt to realize this port complex located in the Odesa region. Unlike previous attempts in 2023 and early 2024, this time the port may attract the attention of foreign investors.
On August 16, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Viktor Dovgan published a photo of the port on his Facebook page, noting that Polish companies are interested in participating in the privatization of this facility.
In a comment for the “Center of Transport Strategies” publication, Dovgan confirmed that Polish investors are actively considering the possibility of participating in this auction.
The initial sale price of the port is UAH 177.97 million.
The complex to be auctioned covers an area of 64.4 hectares and contains 9 port fleet vessels, 47 road transport units, 4 rail cars, 18 cranes, 41 forklifts, as well as 4 excavators, 3 bulldozers, a pneumatic crane and a compressor.
We will remind that in 2023 the company “Ukrdoninvest”, the owner of which is businessman Vitaly Kropachev, won a repeat auction for the sale of this port. However, Kropachev later decided not to purchase the facility, which again left the port without a new owner.
