The state purchased 50 thousand drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine through Prozorro Market

In two years, through the Prozorro Market e-catalog, state customers purchased 50,000 drones worth more than 6 billion hryvnias. Mavic, FPV and Phantom models are most often ordered, which are used for reconnaissance, adjusting artillery fire and performing combat missions. About this reported press service of the Ministry of Economy.
Thanks to the wide assortment and competition between suppliers, the state managed to save more than 300 million hryvnias. These funds can be directed to other critical needs, including the purchase of additional drones and other equipment for the Armed Forces.
“For two years, the state purchased 50,000 drones for our defenders through the e-catalogue, saving more than 300 million hryvnias. This is a real example of how public procurement works for defense capability.” – emphasized the First Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko.
Prozorro Market has greatly simplified and accelerated the procedure for purchasing drones. Customers are freed from the need to independently prepare technical requirements or check the reliability of suppliers – these stages have already been worked out by specialists of the state institution “Professional Procurement”. As a result, the average procurement time is nine days, twice as fast as the open bidding process.
Military units actively use Prozorro Market thanks to their own budgets, which are formed from personal income tax. Thanks to legislative changes in 2024, territorial communities joined the procurement process — now they have the right to purchase equipment for the needs of military formations.
“We added drones to Prozorro Market because we knew that they were needed immediately. This is one of those categories that can be easily standardized, which means that it can be purchased quickly and conveniently. In times of war, this is critical: the state must act quickly. Therefore, we are constantly responding to requests and expanding Prozorro Market.” – explained the director of the state institution “Professional Procurement” Evgeny Yakubovskyi.
In addition to drones, Prozorro Market also offers other military products: tactical goggles and headphones, portable radios, repeaters, optical sights, night vision devices, and UAV support equipment. The assortment is constantly updated taking into account the needs of the front and market analytics.
