Viber launches new features for small businesses in Ukraine

Rakuten Viber Company announced on the introduction of new tools for small businesses in Ukraine. The new features are designed to help entrepreneurs interact more effectively with customers, maintain an online presence and promote their services through the app.

One of the key updates was the appearance of a separate “Clients” folder, where chats initiated via QR codes, links or business searches are automatically placed. This allows companies to respond more quickly to requests and process orders more efficiently. Existing correspondence can also be manually added to this folder.

Viber also has the ability to make business calls. Now users can call companies directly through the app without needing to know their personal number. Both voice and video calls are available. Only the company’s name and logo are visible to customers, providing additional privacy and security.

Another innovation was the business categorization function. Owners can choose up to two categories that best describe their business. A carousel with categories will appear in the application, adapted to the user’s location. All profiles are moderated and results are filtered by country, city and region, allowing you to see only local offers.

These updates were a continuation of the development of business profiles, which the service introduced last fall. Then entrepreneurs got the opportunity to interact with customers directly through the application. Previously, similar features were launched in Greece and the Philippines, which led to a 65% increase in the number of business accounts since the beginning of 2024.
