The General Staff confirmed the strike on the Borisoglebsk airfield in the Russian Federation: an aircraft and a warehouse with KABs were hit

On July 5, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Russian military airfield “Borysoglebsk”, located in the Voronezh region. As a result of the attack, a warehouse with guided aerial bombs, a training and combat aircraft was hit. The final results of the lesion are currently being clarified. The fact of the attack confirmed General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The strike was carried out by units of the Special Operations Forces in coordination with other elements of the Defense Forces as part of operations to reduce the enemy’s ability to carry out airstrikes. Su-34, Su-35S and Su-30SM aircraft are based at this airfield.

“The defense forces continue to take all measures to undermine the ability of the Russian occupiers to strike at civilian infrastructure and to force the Russian Federation to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine.” – noted in the General Staff.

On the morning of July 5, NASA’s fire monitoring systems detected smoke near the Borysoglebsk airfield. The governor of the Voronezh region announced the attack by drones and reported the alleged downing of 25 unmanned aerial vehicles. In one of the municipalities, a break in the power line was recorded, presumably due to the fall of the fragments of the drone. In addition, the roof of a private residential building and a garage were damaged.
