The State Tax Service of Ukraine reports on the overachievement of the plan of revenues to the state budget since the beginning of the year by 11%. In May 2025, the general budget fund received 121.9 billion UAH, which is 21.9% more compared to the same period last year. About this reported head of DPS Ruslan Kravchenko.
As of the end of May, the state budget collected UAH 5.2 billion more than expected. As a result, for the first five months of the year, the over-execution amounted to UAH 51.6 billion, which is 11% higher than forecast indicators.
The main sources of filling the budget remain the tax on the income of individuals (30.3 billion UAH), the tax on the profit of enterprises (45.4 billion UAH), as well as the excise tax on manufactured and imported goods (15.3 billion UAH). All these items exceeded the planned volumes by several percent.
Value added tax refunds are also being made steadily: in May, businesses received UAH 15.5 billion in VAT, and in general, since the beginning of the year — UAH 70.9 billion, which is 23.8% more compared to the same period in 2024.
“Stable overachievement of the revenue plan is the result of joint work with taxpayers. The task of the DPS is not only to administer taxes efficiently, but also to increase the level of taxpayers’ trust in the Service.” – stressed Ruslan Kravchenko.
We will remind you that in April, budget receipts exceeded the planned indicators by UAH 10.2 billion. During the first four months of the year, over-execution amounted to UAH 46.2 billion, or 13.1% more than the plan of the Ministry of Finance.
