The State Tax Service plans to change the calculations of the tax burden in the regions

The State Tax Service of Ukraine is developing new approaches to calculating the tax burden in the regions. Specific proposals are promised to be presented by the end of May. About this reported Head of DPS Ruslan Kravchenko.

According to him, until now in Ukraine there was no single standard for calculating the tax burden within the same industry in different regions.

“The DPS team is already working on developing fair approaches that will take into account the specifics of conducting business in different regions. By the end of May, we plan to come up with specific proposals to discuss them with business. Because this is exactly what it is about trust and partnership between the tax authority and business.”, Kravchenko emphasized.

He noted that the issues of blocking tax invoices, execution of court decisions and identification of payers as risky have already become typical appeals from business representatives. In addition, work continues on updating the criteria for participation in the “White Business Club” — a list of taxpayers who demonstrate a high level of voluntary compliance with tax legislation.

“For me, all businesses that work honestly are white. I always encourage the tax office employees to do the same. Until the changes are officially approved, the tax office is already moving forward. In practice, we already recognize a responsible business as honest, regardless of its membership in a club or formal status. You can also always contact the consultation centers in the regions with all problematic issues.” Kravchenko added.

We remind you that for January-February 2025, the DPS returned 28.7 billion hryvnias of VAT to taxpayers. According to Kravchenko, all the efforts of the service are aimed at reducing the number of blocking tax invoices and simplifying the process of leaving enterprises from the status of risky.
