The United States has begun the development of the world’s first 6th generation fighter, the F-47

The US has begun work on the world’s first sixth-generation fighter, the F-47. This was stated by US President Donald Trump during a joint speech with Defense Minister Pete Hegseth. informs CNN.
“The F-47 will be the most advanced, most powerful and most dangerous aircraft ever built”, – emphasized Trump.
According to the American leader, the US Air Force has long been working on creating a revolutionary combat aircraft that will have no analogues in the world. The development will be led by the Boeing company, which won the fierce competition among the leading aerospace corporations. The experimental version of the F-47 has already been flying for almost five years, which indicates the high level of readiness of this project.
The plane will receive advanced stealth technology — the latest materials and body shape, which will make it almost invisible to radars. The F-47 will be equipped with artificial intelligence and network combat systems — it will be able to analyze the combat situation in real time and interact with Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) drones, which will perform the functions of strike drones and scouts.
A new engine with a supercruiser mode will allow the aircraft to move at supersonic speeds without using afterburners, which will significantly increase combat effectiveness and flight range. Modular avionics and adaptive weaponry will provide the F-47 with an open architecture of electronic systems that will allow for the rapid integration of the latest weapons, laser systems and hypersonic missiles.
The extended combat radius will be another advantage – unlike the F-22, the new aircraft will have a much longer range, which will make it extremely effective for operations in large regions, in particular in the Indo-Pacific theater.
The US military is changing the concept of air combat, creating a “system of systems” in which the F-47 will become the central node of the combat space. It will coordinate the actions of drones, strike the enemy’s advanced air defense systems, and destroy air and ground threats.
The NGAD program and F-47 development received $2.75 billion in funding through 2025, underscoring the high priority of the project for the Pentagon.
