Poland did not allow the plane with the Slovak delegation, which was heading to Russia, through its territory

The parliamentary delegation of Slovakia went to Russia on a working visit to discuss, in particular, the issue of natural gas supply. However, the Polish authorities banned the flight of the Slovak plane through its airspace. About this reported TASR agency.

Due to restrictions from Poland, the flight was forced to change its route and fly through the airspace of the Czech Republic and Germany.

“I don’t understand Poland’s position, but I perceive it as a reality,” – said Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of Slovakia Andriy Danko.

The visit of the delegation headed by Danko was called a working visit in Bratislava. According to preliminary plans, Slovak representatives will meet with members of the Russian State Duma and government. Among the main topics of discussion is the possibility of supplying gas from Russia in conditions of termination of transit through Ukraine.

Danko also noted that the delegation wants to see how people live in Russia, because, according to him, “there is life there too”, and noted that many businesses from Germany, France and the USA continue to work in the Russian Federation.

The Slovak delegation plans to stay in Russia until January 15. The plane with the delegation has already arrived at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport. The plans include a meeting with State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and Federation Council Chairman Valentina Matvienko.
