The US Congress stated that it did not limit Ukraine’s use of American weapons: details
In the House of Representatives took place hearing where the issue of limiting the use of American weapons on the territory of Russia was discussed. The United States does not encourage the use of Western weapons outside Ukrainian territory, but Ukraine itself decides how to effectively dispose of these weapons.
“However, your administration and Jake Sullivan have limited the use of weapons so that Ukraine cannot defend itself and fight back against Russia. That is why I would approve the use of long-range and short-range systems, as well as HIMARS, while your administration ties their [Ukrainians’] hands behind their backs… Will you change this policy so that Ukraine can fight without its hands tied behind its back?McCall asked Blinken.
“When it comes to encouraging and approving attacks outside of Ukraine, we have not done so, but Ukraine will have to make and will make its own decisions. And I want to make sure she gets the equipment she needs. And, you know, Congress armed them, and thank you for that.”Blinken said.
McCall emphasized that no one imposed any restrictions on the use of US weapons.
“I have spoken to the Ukrainians – they cannot achieve victory with these restrictions that you, not Congress, have imposed on them. And I hope that you will take this to the national security adviser [Sullivan] and reverse this policy decision, which is very dangerous and harmful for Ukraine, for the Ukrainian people.” McCall said.
Vocabulary Polish Foreign Minister Pawlo Wronski said that the country is considering the possibility of using its air defense systems to protect Ukrainian airspace near the borders of the two countries. So far, there is no decision on this issue.
