The Verkhovna Rada plans to introduce mandatory leave for military personnel

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine plans to introduce a draft law that will guarantee mandatory vacations for military personnel performing combat missions. About this reported Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of the defense committee of the parliament.

Currently, legislators, representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces are working together on this initiative.

According to Venislavskyi, the main goal of the law is to provide the military with the opportunity to rest and recover, which is critically important for their physical and moral condition. Options for additional vacations are also being considered to help soldiers return to their usual routine after long combat operations.

“In the first place is undoubtedly the issue of providing everything necessary for the security and defense sector. That is, these legislative initiatives are aimed at strengthening our defense capabilities, at the social protection of our servicemen, at improving the issue of their receiving additional vacations, and so on.” – noted Venislavskyi.
