The World Food Program has extended the payment of aid to Ukrainians until the end of July

In Ukraine, the program of financial support for the most vulnerable categories of the population, implemented by the UN World Food Program (WFP), has been continued. As reported in the National Social Service, payments will be provided automatically without application and will continue until the end of July 2025.

The aid is intended for residents of nine oblasts — Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Kherson. Three categories of citizens can apply for it: pensioners, people with disabilities and people who do not have the right to a pension.

For pensioners, there are clear criteria: the amount of the pension with all additional payments must be less than 3,250 hryvnias per month, and at the same time, the person must not have received any other financial assistance – neither as an internally displaced person, nor from other international organizations – starting from March 2023.

The category of persons with disabilities includes both adults and children with disabilities, in particular those who have been disabled since childhood or have no pension. The amount of state aid for them should also not exceed 3,250 hryvnias, and they should not receive financial support from other sources.

Funds will be provided automatically — without the need for an additional application or registration. According to the social service, the payment will be the difference between the actual amount of monthly social assistance and the amount of 3,250 hryvnias. This means that the amount will be individual for each recipient.

The program aims to partially compensate for the shortage of means of subsistence in the conditions of war and to help those who find themselves in the most difficult situation.
