The Air Force explained the reasons for a significant number of “arrivals” during the latest attack

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine explained that a significant number of damage to energy facilities during the Russian missile attack on November 28 was caused by a limited number of interceptors and adverse weather conditions. Such a statement did Communications Department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military, despite the successful destruction of 90% of air targets, 12 hits were recorded, most of which fell on objects of the fuel and energy sector. The Air Force noted that Russia is increasingly using mass attacks using missiles and drones, the number of which often exceeds the capabilities of Ukrainian air defense.
“Recently, during air attacks, the enemy uses a large number of missiles and drones. Their massive use in individual directions often exceeds the number of means of cover. In addition, the enemy uses modern means of air attack, constantly improving them. It is about firing thermal and radar traps , and also uses EW means of personal protection, installed directly on the missiles armament of the Air Force”, the statement says.
In addition, weather conditions such as dense fog and low clouds reduced the effectiveness of mobile fire teams and fighter aircraft.
“Western systems work much more effectively in such conditions, which in Ukraine are not enough to reliably cover hundreds of critical infrastructure objects. … We thank everyone who helps the Air Force in strengthening air defense. We thank you for your understanding and ask citizens to follow the safety recommendations.” , – is summarized in the message.
