In the city of Madison (Wisconsin, USA), there was a shooting at the private Christian school Abundant Life, as a result of which two teenagers and one adult were killed. About this informs Associated Press.
According to preliminary data, the attacker was a 17-year-old student of this school. The teenager opened fire with a gun, killing the teacher and a classmate. After the arrival of the police, he committed suicide.
Madison Police Chief Sean Barnes said six other students were injured in the incident. Doctors assess the condition of two of them as critical. The law enforcement officers specified that the shooting took place “within the same premises”, but the details of the specific location have not yet been disclosed.
Barnes emphasized that the attacker’s motives remain unknown at this time. The police continue the investigation and are actively working to establish the circumstances and causes of the tragedy. It is noted that about 390 students study at the Abundant Life school.
