There was a shooting near the parliament of Abkhazia, a deputy was killed

On December 19, a shooting took place near the parliament building of self-proclaimed Abkhazia, which resulted in the death of deputy Vakhtang of Holland and the wounding of another deputy. About this informs “Echo of the Caucasus”.

According to preliminary data, the victim is MP Kan Kvarchia, and Vakhtang Golandzia died of his injuries. An investigative team is working at the scene.

The conflict occurred during the discussion of the draft law on banning mining. A dispute arose between deputies Adgur Kharaziya and Kan Kvarchia, which turned into a shooting. Adgur Kharaziya took out his weapon and shot Kvarchiya.

The deceased Vakhtang Hollandia tried to intervene to stop the conflict. According to the acting the head of the Abkhazian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Roberta Kiut, the suspect Adgur Kharaziya fled from the scene. Kang Kvarchia was wounded in the arm and was sent to a local hospital.
