Three Ukrainians who got lost in the mountains were found alive in Romania

Three Ukrainians, who found themselves in a difficult situation in the Romanian part of Marmarosh, were found alive after a long search. About this informs Digi24.

According to Sabin Kornoiu, the head of the Romanian mountain rescue service, the Ukrainians, who were wanted since the previous day, were found. One of them suffered serious injuries due to the fall, while the other two have mild hypothermia. The injured were hospitalized for medical treatment.

“Rescuers expanded the search area and were hoping to use a helicopter for an aerial view as well, but the weather conditions weren’t the best. So the search was done by ground methods, and luckily we guessed correctly in which area they might be.”, – said Sabin Kornoiu.

The Romanian authorities plan to initiate legal procedures to ensure the right of these citizens to remain in the country. At the same time, the official did not clarify whether it is about men who tried to avoid mobilization.

We remind you that earlier Romanian rescuers received a signal for help from three Ukrainians who were in a difficult-to-reach area of mountainous terrain. The first 12 hours of searching were fruitless, and the operation was temporarily suspended until conditions improved.
