US President-elect Donald Trump could become a key figure in ending the war in Ukraine and stopping Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Such a position expressed President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the telethon.
“Trump can be decisive. I think this is the most important thing for us. He, his qualities, they are such. He is able to be decisive in this war. He is able to stop Putin – it is more fair to say, help us stop Putin. He can do it.” – noted Zelensky.
The president also described Trump as “strong and unpredictable,” which he believes could play an important role in ending the war.
“I would like President Trump’s unpredictability to be primarily about the Russian Federation. I think he really wants to end the war. I think that’s true.” – he emphasized.
Zelensky noted Trump’s ability to achieve victories, recalling his success in the US presidential elections. The head of state compared it to Ukraine’s desired victory over Russia’s aggression.
“I think this is exactly the kind of victory we need over Russia’s aggression. So far, I don’t have a single negative moment from our communication.”, – concluded Zelensky.
