Trump celebrates election with party with Musk, family and wealthy donors

Donald Trump, the Republican candidate, gathered his team, family members and influential donors at his Mar-a-Lago residence to watch the vote count and begin the celebration. According to the New York Times, among those present was Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk, who planned to spend election night with Trump and his ally J.D. Vance.
Musk, one of Trump’s key financial backers, donated about $119 million to the former president’s campaign through a super PAC. In addition, he actively uses the X platform (formerly Twitter), where he has more than 200 million followers, to promote views that are in line with Trump’s ideas.
On Tuesday evening, Musk confirmed his participation in the celebration, noting that he had voted in South Texas and was heading to Florida to support Trump. His presence is part of a strategy to attract influential business leaders to boost the political mood in Palm Beach ahead of a key stage in the election campaign, The Washington Post reports.
According to Page Six, Musk came to Mar-a-Lago with his young son. Among the invited guests were Trump’s daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, as well as Caitlyn Jenner, Tiffany Trump and her husband Michael Boulos, and Trump’s sons Barron, Eric, and Donald Jr.
Security for the event was tightened – according to the source, dogs were used to search for explosives and check vehicles.
