‘Hezbollah attacks northern Israel, IDF retaliates
Hezbollah militants shelled the northern part of Israel from the territory of Lebanon, to which the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) promptly responded by destroying the launchers from which the projectiles were fired.
According to the IDF, the incident took place on September 29, when shells were fired in the direction of the Sde Eliezer district. The Israeli military quickly found and hit the launcher from which the fire was fired.
“Since midday, IDF fighter jets have struck dozens of terrorist targets belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah throughout Lebanon, including launchers aimed at Israeli territory, buildings where weapons were stored, and terrorist infrastructure facilities used by Hezbollah for terrorist activity against the state of Israel”, the IDF said in a statement.
Also in the evening, air raid sirens went off in Haifa and the surrounding areas in the north of Israel. Israel’s air defense system successfully intercepted another projectile fired from Lebanon.
It will be recalled that other operations of the Israel Defense Forces were previously reported, in particular, airstrikes on infrastructure in Yemen related to the Houthi movement, as well as the elimination of Hezbollah commander Naubil Kauk during an airstrike on the capital of Lebanon. Cauca was one of the senior members of the central council of the terrorist organization.
