Trump says Zelensky has despised the United States and is not ready for peace

US President Donald Trump following a discussion with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi at the White House stated, that he “showed disrespect” to the United States and “is not ready for peace.”
Despite this, Trump described the meeting with Zelensky as “very meaningful”.
“We learned a lot that could never have been understood without talking under such tension and pressure. It’s amazing what comes out of emotion, and I have established that President Zelensky is not ready for peace if America is involved because he feels that our involvement gives him a great advantage in negotiations.” – said the US president.
Instead, according to Trump, he “doesn’t want superiority, he wants peace.”
“He (Zelensky) insulted the United States of America in their cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for peace.” Trump concluded.
We will remind that on February 28, an emotional dispute took place in the White House between Volodymyr Zelenskyi, Donald Trump and US Vice President J.D. Vance in raised tones regarding the war in Ukraine, which was recorded by television cameras.
During the meeting, Trump stated that he supports both Ukraine and Russia. During the conversation, Zelensky showed Trump photos of Ukrainian prisoners of war who were in Russian captivity.
