Today, June 14, Ukraine returned home the bodies of 254 soldiers who died defending our country. This became possible thanks to the joint efforts of state bodies and international organizations.

Thanks to the joint work of the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, the Commissioner for Missing Persons, the Joint Center under the Security Service of Ukraine, the Central Military Medical Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other law enforcement agencies and international organizations, it was possible to repatriate the bodies of 221 soldiers who died in the Donetsk direction, 25 – in Zaporizhia, 4 – in Luhansk, as well as 4 bodies transferred from morgues on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine will deliver the repatriated bodies and remains to designated state institutions. There, law enforcement agencies and forensic medical experts will carry out the procedure to identify the dead.
After each soldier is identified, his body will be handed over to his family for a dignified burial.
