Ukraine and Bulgaria discuss new security agreement: President’s Office

Ukraine and Bulgaria started the first round of negotiations on the conclusion of a bilateral security agreement, informs press service of the Office of the President.
“Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva held the first round of negotiations with the Bulgarian side regarding the conclusion of a bilateral security agreement“, – noted in the OP.
It also became known that both sides have already started work on the draft document and have agreed on the key provisions of the agreement.
“Ukraine has already concluded 27 agreements on the implementation of the Group of Seven joint declaration. It is very important to have such a document with Bulgaria as our strategic partner in the Black Sea region,” Zhovkva emphasized.
The President’s Office also reported that a schedule of further meetings has been agreed for the fastest possible preparation of the final text of the agreement.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Ukraine has been receiving military support from its Western partners. During this year, Kyiv concluded a number of security agreements with various countries, which provide for the provision of military assistance and the development of defense cooperation. Ukraine is also working on increasing its own weapons production, in particular in cooperation with international partners.
