Ukraine expects to receive $15 billion from its partners by the end of the year: Finance Ministry

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine expects to attract another $15 billion in foreign aid by the end of 2024. That’s what happened is known after the annual meetings of the IMF and the World Bank held in Washington.
During October 21-26, the Ukrainian delegation led by Minister of Finance Serhii Marchenko held more than 70 meetings with representatives of international financial organizations, where prospects for further support were discussed. The ministry reported that all partners have confirmed their readiness to continue and expand cooperation with Ukraine, assuring that the necessary funding will be provided in full.
In addition, the Ministry of Finance noted that the G7 countries demonstrated unity in supporting the use of profits from frozen Russian assets for Ukraine’s needs. These funds are expected to become available from early 2025.
On October 23, Ukraine received another tranche from the International Monetary Fund in the amount of $1.1 billion, and already on October 25, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced a plan to distribute UAH 1,000 to Ukrainians under the eSupport program, using part of the unused foreign aid.
