Memorandum on cooperation of the Prosecutor General’s Office with civil society organizations was signed

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin opened the Strategic Session of the International Council of Experts at the Prosecutor General’s Office, which has been operating for two years in an updated format. During this event, Andriy Kostin signed an important Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between the Prosecutor General’s Office and civil society organizations. The document provides for the implementation of standards in the documentation of war crimes and symbolizes a new stage in cooperation between the parties.

“We started with 6 working groups. Now there are 14 of them in various areas of cooperation, and not only in the field of investigation of war crimes, but also in the areas of protection of the rights of servicemen, combating crimes against the environment, protection of victims and witnesses, as well as the rights of public activists “Kostin noted.

The Prosecutor General expressed gratitude to the members of the International Council of Experts for their contributions, advice and support, which help to improve the work of prosecutors and their methods.
