Ukrainians declared 474 billion hryvnias of income as a result of the declaration campaign for 2024. This is 93.5 billion more than last year. More than 17,000 people declared income exceeding 1 million hryvnias. About this reported Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev.
“Over 17,000 Ukrainians officially became millionaires. And this is not fiction, but the results of this year’s declaration campaign. This is 1.3 thousand more than last year – and in total they declared 254 billion UAH.”, – noted Hetmantsev.
At the same time, he drew attention to the decrease in the total number of declarants by 22% – to 363 thousand people.
“Probably, some of them simply changed their country of residence – and no longer appear in Ukrainian statistics,” – suggested Hetmantsev.
We will remind, according to the results of 2023, the number of Ukrainians who declared an annual income of more than 1 million hryvnias was 10.7 thousand people – this is 1.2 thousand more than the year before. They paid over 1 billion hryvnias in personal income tax and military duty.
