Ukraine launches joint weapons production program with Ramstein countries

Ukraine is launching a program of joint production of weapons with international partners, which provides for the creation of new factories and production sites both on the territory of Ukraine and in the countries that are part of the Contact Group on Defense Issues in the “Ramstein” format. About this reported Defense Minister Rustam Umyerov.
Until the end of the war, all products manufactured at these enterprises will be supplied exclusively to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
“We have invaluable experience in conducting modern warfare, our own effective weapons and the opportunity to test them directly on the battlefield. Ukraine is becoming an equal player on the global arms market.”, – noted the Ministry of Defense.
In order to implement the initiative, the implementation of a special legal and tax regime for Ukrainian manufacturers is foreseen. This will make it possible to expand and modernize production, reduce regulatory pressure and ensure a high level of safety.
The Ministry of Defense, together with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, presented four draft laws to representatives of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex, which provide for changes to the Tax, Customs, Budget and Criminal Codes of Ukraine.
These changes are aimed at developing the industry, simplifying procedures and strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure. The first vote on the package of relevant bills in the Verkhovna Rada is expected already this month. The Ministry of Defense is counting on the support of the deputy corps.
