Ukraine plans to improve conditions for receiving subsidies for some families

The Ministry of Social Policy proposes to improve the conditions for receiving housing subsidies for some families. About this it is said in the draft government resolution posted for discussion on the FPU website.

The Ministry of Social Policy proposes to improve the conditions for assigning housing subsidies for certain categories of families. We are talking about family-type children’s homes, foster families with at least one orphaned child or a child deprived of parental care, as well as large families with three or more children, of which at least one child is under guardianship or care.

For such families, it is proposed to provide subsidies even in cases where land plots, housing, other real estate, building materials, vehicles and similar property have been purchased. Also, the subsidy will be possible if the orphaned child or the child deprived of parental care owns the housing.

Another option is to have more than 100,000 hryvnias in the bank deposit of such a child, provided that he or she is temporarily or permanently raised in the family of relatives, acquaintances, a foster family or a family-type orphanage.

In addition, the project provides for a review of the criteria for overdue debt for housing and communal services. In particular, it is proposed to update its maximum amount and set the threshold at the level of one minimum wage, which is valid at the beginning of the corresponding year.
