“Ukraine’s survival is at stake”: Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin

Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin said at the Ramstein-23 meeting in Brussels that the Ukrainian-Russian war has reached a critical moment when not only the survival of Ukraine is at stake, but also the security of other countries.

About this reported in the Pentagon.

“This is a critical moment. The stakes in this war are high. Ukraine’s survival is at stake. But so is all of our security. None of us would want to live in a world ruled by Putin. And we would all be less safe if tyrants thought they could trample borders and intimidate their neighbors.” Austin said.

Austin emphasized that the international community’s support for Ukraine is growing, not weakening, and reminded that the US and other members of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine have already allocated more than $98 billion in military aid.

The US Secretary of Defense expressed gratitude to Sweden, Belgium and Spain for their significant contributions to military aid to Ukraine. He also expressed expectations for news from the drone coalition, which is working to provide Ukraine with drones to repel Russian aggression.

Austin emphasized that the world cannot allow the victory of the Putin regime, as it threatens the security of all countries.
