North Korea is ramping up weapons production for Russia: WSJ

According to satellite images, North Korea has significantly increased its production of weapons and supplies of ammunition to Russia for use in its war against Ukraine. In particular, about 200 North Korean munitions factories are operating at full capacity.

About this informs The Wall Street Journal.

North Korea has been ramping up its ammunition supply to Russia, which includes a variety of munitions ranging from artillery shells to the latest Hwasong-11 ballistic missiles. Thanks to North Korea’s help, Russia can use its advantage at the front and cope with the pressure of the international community, which calls for an end to the war.

Citing data from the US and South Korean governments, The Wall Street Journal notes that North Korea has already sent more than 20,000 containers of ammunition to Russia, including more than five million artillery shells and dozens of missiles (including more than 100 Hwasong-11 missiles) . In addition, Pyongyang transferred 170 mm self-propelled howitzers and 240 mm long-range multiple rocket launchers to Russia.

“Ukrainian officials say that the supply amounted to more than five million artillery shells and dozens of missiles, including more than 100 Hwasong-11-class missiles,” – the message says.
