Ukrainian pensioners who are abroad can apply for pensions remotely

Thanks to the electronic services portal of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU), Ukrainians who have gone abroad and reached retirement age now have the opportunity to issue a pension remotely.

About this informs the PFU:

This makes the life of our citizens much easier, because they do not need to personally visit PFU institutions.” – the department notes.

This is how you can issue a pension remotely:

  • Go to the PFU web portal.
  • Select the “Application for pension assignment” tab and read the information.
  • Log in to your personal account using a qualified electronic signature (QES).
  • In the “Pension provision” section, select “Pension application” and choose the method of receiving notifications about the processing of your application – remote notification.
  • Click “Continue” and select the type of pension (for example, old-age pension).
  • Complete the questionnaire survey, give your consent to the processing of personal data and attach scanned copies of the necessary documents.
  • Sign the application using the KEP and send it to the PFU.
  • Importantly! Before issuing a pension remotely, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with the list of necessary documents on the PFU website.

Pension payments will be made to a bank card: both physical and virtual cards of any Ukrainian bank.
