On March 4, Ukrainians began receiving increased pensions. The Pension Fund of Ukraine has started financing pension payments for March 2025, which were increased as a result of indexation. About this informs press service of PFU.
“1.5 billion hryvnias are allocated to pension payments through JSC “Ukrposhta”, – the message says.
Payment of pensions began on March 4 and is carried out according to the schedule for each pensioner. Indexation of pensions in Ukraine took place from March 1, 2025, as provided by the legislation.
Recalculation will be carried out automatically, so pensioners do not need to submit any applications. The amount of indexation will be a factor of 1.115, as a result of which the average amount of the pension will increase by 9.6% – from 5,790 hryvnias to 6,345 hryvnias.
The indexation applies to all categories of pensioners, including those who receive payments under the general pension law, military personnel, pensioners of law enforcement agencies, persons with disabilities as a result of the war, recipients of Chernobyl payments, officials, scientists and deputies.
Financing of increased pensions will be carried out at the expense of the solidarity pension system and the state budget. The draft budget of the Pension Fund of Ukraine for 2025 provides for 44.7 billion hryvnias for additional payments, determined by the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolutions on the indexation of pension payments and additional measures to strengthen social protection of the most vulnerable categories of the population.
