Police investigate conflict between pregnant woman and deputy head of Cherkasy TCC in Cherkasy region (video)
A blogger from Smila, Vera Bosa-Ivanenko, ended up in the hospital after a conflict with the deputy head of the Cherkasy regional territorial procurement center (TCC) Mykola Hetman. During the incident, the woman, who is pregnant, experienced significant stress, which led to the threat of miscarriage and severe headaches. She told about it correspondent Public.
The incident happened on October 4, when Vera noticed an official in a coffee shop in the middle of the working day and decided to find out why he was not at his workplace. The woman began to film him on her phone, which, according to her, provoked an aggressive reaction from the official.
“It is not normal when a two-meter-tall man, an employee of the state authorities attacks an unarmed woman. I am already silent that I am pregnant and the wife of a military serviceman“, she said.
Mykola Hetman, for his part, explained that he felt bad because of problems with blood pressure, so he took a coffee and sat down in a coffee shop to rest a little. He said that he tried to close the woman’s camera so as not to get into the frame, fearing that the video could be used by enemies. On the day of the incident, Hetman was off duty due to hospital treatment, so he was on his way home.
The police, who arrived at the call, documented the situation, after which Vera Bosa-Ivanenko was hospitalized for examination. She also filed a complaint with the police against Mykola Hetman, and the case is currently being considered as part of criminal proceedings under the article “Hooliganism”. Sanctions under this article may include a fine or restriction of liberty for a period of three to seven years.
The woman, however, insists on the reclassification of the case to “Deliberate attack” and demands that only those who have experience of combat operations and do not show aggression towards the civilian population work in the TCC.
Hetman himself noted that he cooperates with the investigation and provided all the necessary evidence. He also expressed regret for the conflict and noted that he would be ready to take responsibility if necessary.
“Time will judge us, and to tell where I was and who I was with – the people I was with, the brothers I was with, know that“, he added.
