As of February 2025, the total amount of deposits of individuals, including individual entrepreneurs, in Ukrainian banks amounted to 1,392.2 billion hryvnias. About this reported press service of the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Individuals.
During 2024, the volume of citizens’ deposits increased by 157.4 billion hryvnias, of which 110.6 billion hryvnias is real growth, not taking into account the revaluation of currency deposits in the hryvnia equivalent. At the beginning of 2025, deposits in the national currency reached 899.5 billion hryvnias, which is 103.1 billion more than a year earlier. Deposits in foreign currency grew to 492.7 billion hryvnias, having increased by 54.3 billion.
The share of individual entrepreneurs in the structure of depositors is 3.2%, and their deposits are 12.1% of the total amount of deposits. The total volume of funds placed by FOP in banks reached 168.9 billion hryvnias, which is 19 billion more than last year.
The Deposit Guarantee Fund reminded that from April 2022, during the period of martial law and three more months after its end, the state guarantees 100% reimbursement of deposits of individuals, including FOP. After this period, the maximum amount of guaranteed compensation will be 600,000 hryvnias.
