Ukroboronprom and the Norwegian company KDA will integrate Ukrainian developments into NASAMS air defense systems

“Ukroboronprom” and the Norwegian company Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace (KDA) concluded an agreement on cooperation to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense system. In particular, it is planned to integrate domestic developments into the NASAMS air defense system. About this informs press service of “Ukroboronprom”.

We are talking about cooperation aimed at combining existing and future Ukrainian short- and medium-range air defense systems with NASAMS infrastructure. In particular, it is assumed that Ukrainian technologies will be compatible with Norwegian management and control modules. KDA representatives have already held preliminary negotiations with the Ukrainian side and got acquainted with its production and scientific and technical potential.

“The development and scaling of our anti-air and anti-missile defense systems is one of the undisputed priorities of Ukroboronprom’s activities. Together with the Norwegian arms manufacturers, we will take a new step towards the creation of a strong air shield that should reliably cover strategic objects and civilian infrastructure. I am sure that cooperation with KDA will become another example of fruitful international partnership.”, – noted the General Director of the Joint-Stock Company “Ukrainian Defense Industry” Oleg Gulyak.

Kongsberg also plans to produce surface unmanned aerial vehicles in Ukraine in accordance with an agreement signed with a Ukrainian partner.
