During the summer of 2024, Ukrzaliznytsia issued 55,700 tickets for military personnel under a separate quota, of which almost 23,000 were issued in August alone. About this reported the press service of the company.
With the introduction of an online service for booking tickets by military personnel and their families, the carrier has made this process as convenient as possible.
“Ensuring the travel of military personnel is our priority”, – noted in the UZ.
In addition, the company continues to perform important tasks of evacuating the population from regions close to war zones. From June to August, 6,500 passengers were evacuated from Sumy, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions.
Ukrzaliznytsia declared its readiness to provide logistics even in those regions where active hostilities are taking place, and peaceful cities suffer from enemy attacks every day.
In addition to the military, this summer the company transported more than 200,000 children based on group requests. Among them are children of forced migrants and military personnel. The most active month was June, when more than 92,000 children were transported.
Also, since the beginning of August, almost 400 children traveled in a special children’s carriage of train #15/16 Kharkiv – Yasinya. Among them, about 80 passengers were under the age of 6.
