Veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs can find employment in the department in the military, civil service or for free employment

Veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have the opportunity to choose work in the department – in the military or civil service, as well as freelance. This was stated by Dmytro Finashyn, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on Veterans Policy, informs press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
“We emphasize on keeping those fighters who want it, or those released due to health, in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. These people are given a list of positions in which they can continue to serve. It can be military service, civil service or self-employment. We don’t want a soldier to feel abandoned after being discharged from military service.” – said the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs.
For employment, veterans can contact a social worker or fill out the appropriate questionnaire in the electronic Social Security Office. At the same time, the main priority is the creation of an effective system of social guarantees, as well as the provision of treatment and rehabilitation of wounded fighters.
“My primary task is horizontal communication with veterans, gathering information about their actual needs and conveying it to the top management in order to improve the conditions of the servicemen’s stay in the MIA system.” – emphasized Dmytro Finashyn.
He also talked about his participation in the International Economic Forum in Davos. The presence of the Ministry of Internal Affairs delegation at this event was a unique opportunity to convey to world leaders the need to join forces to support Ukraine.
“The Ukrainian military now has extraordinary experience in conducting modern warfare, so the military from other countries can join us and gain new unique knowledge and skills. We will teach because we need strong allies. And it is in our interests to have people behind us who will strike fear into our enemies.” Finashyn emphasized.
