Veterans of the war in Ukraine will be able to work in educational institutions as teachers of the subject “Defense of Ukraine”. About this it is said in the statement of the deputy head of the Office of the President Iryna Vereshchuk.
“Veterans will teach students practical skills in the basics of military affairs, tactical medicine, civil defense and security. Their combat experience is not only practice, but also a powerful factor in patriotic education. This solution combines the reintegration of defenders and the long-term strengthening of national stability.” Vereshchuk explained.
The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Education and Science, signed joint order No. 868/483, which approved Methodological recommendations for the employment of veterans as teachers of the subject “Defense of Ukraine”. According to the document, veterans will impart knowledge on military affairs, tactical medicine, civil defense to students, and will also share their own combat experience.
The Ministry of Veterans emphasized that the implementation of such a practice will contribute to the reintegration of defenders into a peaceful society and strengthening of national stability. From now on, the combat experience of veterans will become a component of the formation of the patriotic consciousness of the younger generation.
“The employment situation in Ukraine is ambiguous. On the one hand, we have a colossal shortage of personnel in all sectors. On the other hand, people still cannot find a job. We understand that there are certain barriers and restrictions that prevent meetings between an employer and a future employee. Therefore, in the last few months, we have done several such systematic things. These are methodological recommendations for employers on how to employ a veteran or how to return a person who was mobilized from the enterprise”, – said the Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Nataliya Kalmykova.
