During the meeting of the UN Security Council, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Annalena Burbok, sharply addressed the representative of Russia, Vasyl Nebenzi, accusing his country of crimes against children. About thiswrites PICTURE.
“You can fool yourself. The most powerful man in your country can be hiding behind kidnapped teenage girls. But you can’t fool the whole world.”, said the diplomat.
She emphasized that since the beginning of the war, Russia has abducted at least 19.5 thousand Ukrainian children, and so far less than four hundred of them have been returned.
“Russia has been committing these crimes for 923 days, children have been kidnapped and tortured for 923 days. We will not rest until the children return to their families.” – emphasized the head of the German MFA, pointing out the reluctance of the Russian representative to participate in a constructive dialogue, as Nebenzya traditionally leaves the UN hall immediately after his speech.
During her speech, Nebenzya was busy with his smartphone and left the meeting after the debate.
Separately, Burbok stressed that the war unleashed by Russia, in which Putin destroys cities, power plants and uses kidnapped children as cover, must be stopped. She called on the world community to unite, similar to what happened on Sunday, when, despite the attempt of the Russian Federation and its allies to derail the initiative, the Pact of the Future was adopted.
