Poland scrambled fighter jets due to Russian strikes on Ukraine

Poland raised fighter jets in the air in response to another Russian attack on Ukraine, carried out using long-range aircraft. About this reported Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland.

On the morning of May 26, the command warned of a possible increase in the level of noise in the southeastern region of the country due to the activity of Polish and allied aircraft.

“Attention, in the south-eastern part of the country there may be an increased level of noise due to the start of flights in our airspace of Polish and allied aircraft”, – the message says.

For Poland’s air defense system, this is already the second consecutive night of heightened tension. The reason was the resumption of activity of the Russian long-range aviation, which carries out missile attacks on Ukrainian territory.

“All necessary procedures to ensure the security of Polish airspace have been engaged. The operational command of the Armed Forces of Poland is monitoring the current situation, and subordinate forces and assets remain in full readiness for an immediate response,” – the department assured.

We will remind you that on the night of May 26, Russia launched another large-scale air strike on Ukraine. In particular, the Khmelnytsky region was subjected to a combined attack by Russian troops for the second night in a row.
