Young entrepreneurs can get a business grant through the Diia portal: Svyrydenko

Young Ukrainian entrepreneurs under the age of 25 already have the opportunity to apply for grants of up to 150,000 hryvnias to start their own business as part of the “Own Business” program. This service can be arranged through the Diya portal. About this reported First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy Yulia Svyridenko.
“We create conditions for young people to implement their business ideas. Grants for youth under the “Own Affair” program are already available through the Diya portal. If you are under 25 years old, apply for the program and receive up to UAH 150,000 for your business. The youth grant does not require the creation of new jobs. After a positive decision on grant allocation is made, it is only necessary to open a FOP“, Svyridenko stressed.
She noted that submitting an application through “Diya” will take only a few minutes. You need to go to the “Grant for your own business” section and submit application online.
After three years, such entrepreneurs will be able to receive a grant again, but already under the general conditions of the “Own Business” program, where the maximum amount is 250 thousand hryvnias, provided that at least two jobs are created.
During the “Own Business” program, more than 20,000 entrepreneurs received grants for a total amount of almost 5 billion hryvnias.
The “Own Business” program provides micro-grants from 50 to 250 thousand hryvnias for starting or developing a business. Funds can be used to purchase equipment, purchase materials, rent premises, etc. Grants can be received by both active entrepreneurs and persons without entrepreneurial experience.
Applications for grants are submitted through the “Action” portal, along with a business plan. The program is administered by the State Employment Service.
Details on obtaining grants are available on the official website site “Own Case” program. The government project eRobota is part of the “Made in Ukraine” policy and includes various grant programs aimed at stimulating entrepreneurial activity and creating new jobs.
