Small farmers will continue to receive state subsidies
The government continued funding of the state support program for small farmers who cultivate land with an area of up to 120 hectares or keep up to 100 cows, 500 goats or sheep. About this reported Minister of Agrarian Policy Vitaly Koval.
The program provides support to farmers who did not take advantage of the aid in 2024, giving them the opportunity to apply for funding in 2025. For the sake of convenience, the deadline for submitting applications through the State Agrarian Register has been extended, because the funding of the program is calculated for two years in accordance with the Grant Agreement.
4.73 billion hryvnias have been earmarked for the implementation of this initiative. Financial assistance includes several types of support. Farmers engaged in agricultural activities can receive a subsidy in the amount of 4,000 hryvnias for each hectare of cultivated land. For those who keep livestock, special subsidies are provided: 7,000 hryvnias for each cow, regardless of the direction of its productivity, as well as 2,000 hryvnias for keeping goats or sheep.
This program aims to promote the development of small agricultural enterprises, support them in difficult economic conditions and stimulate production in the agricultural sector. The government encourages farmers to take advantage of this opportunity to receive financial assistance and develop their own farms.
