Zelensky names the number of missiles, bombs and drones fired by Russia in a week

Over the past week, Russia has carried out large-scale attacks on the territory of Ukraine, using hundreds of bombs, dozens of missiles and hundreds of attack drones. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in his Telegram channel reported, that in recent days the enemy has released about 900 guided aerial bombs, more than 40 missiles and about 400 attack drones of various modifications over Ukraine.

Zelensky emphasized that no nation should go through such trials on their own. He appealed to international partners to provide Ukraine with the necessary assistance to fight against Russian aggression, in particular to increase the supply of air defense systems and long-range weapons. The President emphasized the importance of quick decisions and operational actions to protect Ukrainian soldiers and the civilian population.

“Partners have the opportunity to provide the necessary quantity and quality of air defense systems, to make decisions for our sufficient range, to ensure the timely delivery of defense aid to our soldiers. We must not waste time – we must give the necessary signal of determination.”, – said the head of state.

Since September, Russian troops have been attacking Ukraine daily with attack drones and missiles, including ballistic ones. On the night of October 13, Russian troops launched another attack, releasing 68 drones. Ukrainian air defense forces were able to destroy 31 Shahed drones, and another 36 drones were shot down thanks to the use of electronic warfare equipment.

Debris of downed drones damaged houses in Kyiv and Cherkasy regions. In addition, during the night attack, Russian troops hit the Poltava and Odesa regions with ballistic missiles, and also fired Kh-59 missiles on the territory of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
