Mate academy and the Ministry of Digital are launching a free IT program for veterans  

The new initiative should help veterans and non-veterans acquire new skills and gain promising career opportunities in the IT industry.

To support the adaptation of Ukrainian veterans to civilian life, a new stage of the project on free training in IT specialties is being launched. This opportunity is jointly offered by the edtech company Mate academy and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. About this informs Ministry of Figures.

As part of the program, participants will be able to master popular IT professions such as Front-end developer, Full-stack developer, Python developer, QA engineer and UI/UX Designer.

Features of the program

  • Intensive training: Full training day from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 18:00, lasting from 3 to 6 months.
  • Focus on practice: The program includes 20% theory and 80% practical classes.
  • Preparation for employment: Participants will receive assistance in creating a resume, passing test interviews and testing technical knowledge.
  • Free English language training.

Who can apply for the program

Participants in hostilities who took part in ensuring the national security and defense of Ukraine, as well as restrained armed aggression by Russia during the Russian-Ukrainian war, can apply for participation in the program.

The agency notes that this initiative is designed to help veterans acquire new skills and gain promising career opportunities in the IT industry.
