Zelenskyi on the Kursk operation of the Armed Forces: is there a connection with the Peace Formula
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commented on the possible connection between the operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region and the disruption of energy negotiations in Qatar, which was reported by some mass media. He emphasized that the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kurshchyna are related to the second Peace Summit, but not related to energy negotiations. That’s what he’s about stated during a press conference at the “Ukraine 2024. Independence” forum.
Zelensky explained that the operation in the Kursk region is not included in any of the points of the Peace Formula. However, it is an important element in Ukraine’s victory plan.
“The Kursk operation is not connected with any of the points of the Peace Formula. Is it connected with the second Peace Summit? Yes, because the Kursk operation is one of the points of our victory plan”, — noted Zelensky.
Answering a journalist’s question about rumors about the breakdown of energy negotiations in Qatar due to the events in the Kursk region, the President emphasized that these things are not related to each other. According to him, the Kursk operation had other goals than the energy negotiations, which, by the way, were not canceled, but were held online.
“These are completely unrelated things. The Kursk operation has and had completely different goals than the energy meeting. Energy is very important, but it is important to end the war. The Kursk operation is one of the stages of this process. The negotiations did not break down, they were held in online format”, — concluded Zelensky.
