President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi reported on reaching new agreements with European partners regarding gas supply. He stated this in an evening address on July 5 after the report of the Deputy Chairman of the OP Andrii Sybiga, who is responsible for foreign policy contacts.
According to Zelenskyi, the key areas of preparation for the next heating season have already been determined, and the relevant initiatives are being coordinated between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Energy and NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine. According to him, these agreements are already at the stage of implementation.
The president also noted that he expects to sign concrete agreements next week — during the conference on the restoration of Ukraine, which will be held in Italy. It is expected that during the event, the Ukrainian delegation will confirm agreements with European partners regarding the supply of energy resources.
“Energy stability is the basis of the stability of the entire country,” Zelenskyy emphasized, thanking international partners for their help and willingness to strengthen support in the energy sector.
