Yesterday, February 1, in Donetsk region, Russian troops were able to advance in the direction of Pokrov, strengthening their positions near three populated areas. About this reported Ukrainian analytical resource DeepState, which updated its interactive maps of the situation at the front.
According to the resource, the occupiers achieved tactical success in the area of the village of Vozdvizhenka, which is located east of Pokrovsk, as well as near the settlement of Kotlyne, which is located in the southwest of the city. This indicates that the enemy is conducting offensive actions on both flanks of the Pokrov direction, trying to expand the control zone and create a threat to Ukrainian defensive positions in this area.
The Pokrovsky direction remains one of the key areas of the front, where Russian troops are trying to advance, using the tactics of massive assaults. Active hostilities in this region have been going on for several weeks, and the enemy constantly carries out attacks, trying to break through Ukrainian defenses.
