Bolt resumes electric scooter rental in Ukraine
Bolt electric scooter rental service restores work in the cities of Ukraine, where it was available in 2024, and plans to further expand the geography this year.
Cities where the service has already been activated include Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr and Uzhhorod. In the near future, the restart will also take place in Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Rivne and Cherkassy.
As the new season begins, Bolt emphasizes the importance of following safety and parking rules:
- Install the footrest so that the scooter stands upright and does not fall.
- Leave the scooter in an accessible place so that the next user can easily find it.
- Park responsibly — don’t block entrances and exits, don’t leave your scooter in the middle of the sidewalk or in places where it might disturb others.
- Choose a flat surface for parking.
- If you notice a scooter lying on the pavement, pick it up and put it upright – this will ensure free movement of pedestrians.
The company also implements modern technical solutions to increase user safety. In particular, the smart software prevents the two of you from riding together, automatically slows the scooter down and sends real-time alerts. The Reckless Rider Score captures dangerous behavior and geo-located speed limits apply in populated areas.
“Our goal is to make cities more livable by providing people with environmentally friendly, fast and affordable transportation. We see a growing demand for micromobility and strive to expand our presence in new cities so that even more Ukrainians can experience the benefits of this type of transportation.” — Anton Milka, head of Bolt’s sharing services development department in Ukraine, said.
According to him, the company will continue to pay special attention to the safety of users and implement innovative solutions to increase the level of responsible driving and compliance with parking rules.
