A new course on the basics of military leadership has been launched in the “Army +” application

A new training course “Military Leadership” has appeared in the application of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “Army+” for military personnel. Its goal is to help military personnel build trust in the unit, make decisions in difficult conditions and support the team during the performance of tasks.

The Ministry of Defense reported that the course combines theoretical materials, practical examples and interviews with active military personnel. The authors consider some of the topics based on real situations from service.

The training program consists of two modules. They talk about the features of military leadership, building trust in the team, maintaining discipline, making decisions and taking responsibility for them. The course also covers issues of motivating subordinates, delegating authority, providing feedback, developing the team and supporting morale.

Special attention is paid to identifying signs of destructive leadership and ways to respond to such manifestations in units.

The Ministry of Defense noted that the course was developed by the Military Leadership Development Department of the Main Personnel Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with teachers of the discipline “Military Leadership” of military educational institutions. The Department of Psychological Support of the Joint Forces Group also participated in the creation of the program.

Currently, 27 training courses for servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine are available in the “Army+” application.
