A protest was held in Bratislava due to Fico’s visit to Moscow

In Bratislava, a protest was held in front of the Slovak government building. It was organized as a sign of disagreement with Prime Minister Robert Fico’s trip to Moscow, where he met with Vladimir Putin.

The protest, called “Enough with Russia”, was initiated by the public association “Peace of Ukraine”. Its members expressed outrage that Fico’s meeting with Putin in the Kremlin on Sunday is promoting Russian influence and using the topic of gas transit to build cooperation with Russia. Protesters shouted “Traitor!” at the prime minister.

Opposition leaders, former prime ministers Ihor Matovych and Eduard Geger, artists, and Ukrainian refugees joined the action.

The representatives of “Mir Ukraine” stated that by his actions Fitso could have violated the law, as cooperation with the aggressor is unacceptable. The organizers announced that they intend to appeal to the General Prosecutor’s Office of Slovakia with a corresponding complaint.

After the protest ended, the crowd chanted “Enough Fizo!” and “Glory to Ukraine!”.
