Biden is preparing the last aid package for Ukraine

The administration of US President Joe Biden will soon announce a new military aid package for Ukraine, which will include missiles for air defense systems and artillery ammunition. About this informs Reuters.

The cost of the package will be 1.2 billion dollars. The specified weapons are planned to be purchased from the American defense industry or partners, and not taken from the Pentagon’s stocks. This can delay its delivery for months or even years.

The White House currently has $5.6 billion in presidential spending authority. If some of these funds are not used by the Biden administration, they will go to the administration of Donald Trump.

Earlier, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, emphasized the importance of fulfilling the agreements regarding the supply of air defense systems, especially against the background of the recent massive Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
