A residential quarter for Mariupol residents will be built in Bila Tserkva

The Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Mariupol City Council, announced the launch of a new housing project for Mariupol immigrants — an entire residential quarter will be built in Bila Tserkva. About this reported Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Community and Territorial Development.
According to Kuleba, the financing will come from the budget of the Mariupol community, and the necessary government decision, which will pave the way for the start of work, is expected as early as next week. The initial construction works are planned to start before the end of this year. The project envisages the construction of three residential complexes. A communal plot of land with an area of about 11 hectares has already been allocated for development.
Kuleba explained that the upcoming quarter will combine two formats of housing: municipal rental housing, which will be distributed among displaced persons on social conditions through an open system, and housing on preferential mortgage conditions — for those Mariupol residents who can purchase an apartment, but need state support. Preference will be given to military personnel, veterans, families of victims, large families and people with disabilities.
As a reminder, on July 2, the Cabinet of Ministers announced the launch of an experimental project to create a municipal rental housing fund. Local communities will be the direct customers of the construction, and the project documentation will be based on already developed solutions. This will speed up the process and reduce costs. Housing within the framework of the program will be provided to veterans, families of fallen soldiers, active servicemen, internally displaced persons, orphans, as well as employees of education, medicine and communal services.
